Prior to being accepted, the Yang/Vang family was living with family in a severely overcrowded space. With 12 people sharing 4 bedrooms, space was a major issue for the family. The homeowners were sharing a bedroom with their infant daughter, and with another baby on the way they knew they needed to make a change. The home had several structural issues, with a leaking ceiling that was falling apart and mold in bedrooms, they worried for their daughter’s safety.
This is what led the Yang/Vang family to apply for Habitat’s Homeownership Program. The family desires a space of their own for their growing family to call home.
Construction on this home began April 2016 and was dedicated August 4, 2016.
"And now our family could only give thanks to Habitat of Humanity of Green Bay for giving us this wonderful opportunity. We are grateful that we don't have to wait years to reach to our home because soon, we will be finally be home.”
