CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE

2008 Build Schedule

Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity will be constructing its 2008 homes on the west side of Green Bay in the Tank Neighborhood. Green Bay Habitat for Humanity was selected by the City of Green Bay Redevelopment Authority to develop the property located 4 blocks south of Mason Street between S. Chestnut and S. Maple. When completed, the development will include 9 new single-family houses. Many thanks to our partners on this development, Dimension IV and Mach IV Engineering and Surveying.

Women Build 2008! The house at 915 S. Maple Avenue will be our Women Build site. If you are interested in volunteering at the build site or behind the scenes, please contact our office!

910 S. Chestnut

  • Sponsor: Thrivent Financial for Lutherans
  • Family: Luis and his wife Maribel along with their 6 year-old daughter, Kailie. Luis and Maribel have lived in Green Bay for seven years. Luis works in the dairy industry.
  • Start Date: Early May
  • Estimated Completion Date: August

915 S. Maple Avenue

  • 2008 Women Build
  • Sponsor: Jack and Engrid Meng, Patrick Schrickel Family, K.C. Stock Foundation, Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay, and Lowes.
  • Family: Florentino and Amy Mendez. Florentino works in the food service industry, and Amy works in a customer service call center. The family has four children: daughter Atielia (age 1), sons Mateos (age 1), Maliq (age 4 1/2) and Mesach (age 12).
  • Start Date: May 2008
  • Estimated Completion Date: Fall 2008

911 S. Maple Avenue

  • Sponsor: Cloud Family Foundation in honor of Dennis and Marge Hagman; Wisconsin Public Service Foundation
  • Family: Delia Gomez and her husband, JMario Arroyo, along with their 4 children, daughters Alejandra (age 6), Sinai (age 4), Dominique (age 2) and son Andy, (age 1).
  • Start Date: June 2008
  • Estimated Completion Date: Fall 2008

  • Sponsor: Ameriprise Financial and Schreiber Foods
  • House Partners: Georgia Pacific and Berners-Schober Associates
  • Family: Brenda Suidzinski and her 2 children, Steven, age 11 and Serena, age 8. Brenda teaches preschool at a local daycare center.
  • Start Date: Summer 2008
  • Estimated Completion Date: End of 2008

  • The Long Family Catholic Build
  • Sponsor: Affordable Housing Institute of the Catholic Foundation
  • Family: Jacob and Crystal Childers. Jacob is employed in the inventory service industry. The Childers have one son, Zeph (1), and are expecting a baby girl in November.
  • Start Date: Fall 2008
  • Estimated Completion Date: Early 2009
