“Owning a home means I am able to say yes. Yes, I’m a positive role model for my children and yes, I’ll take responsibility for my children and my life,” said Sharif Mose. “Yes, I’m worthy, dependable, and self-motivated, but most importantly, owning a home means, I can.”
The Mose family journey began with Habitat for Humanity in 2019, they completed the extensive application process, demonstrated willingness to partner with Habitat and ability to pay their homeowner mortgage. After being referred to the homeowner program by another Habitat homeowner, the Mose family wanted a Habitat home to stabilize costs and provide consistent and secure housing for their family. The 119th home build has been special to Habitat for Humanity as it was selected to be sponsored by Larson Storm Doors after a sweepstakes in September 2019. The build site also hosted International Women Build Day, a day to celebrate the strength of women learning to build and community involvement. The home was also constructed in partnership with the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Green Bay. The Mose’s home is a two-story home that is designed to accommodate the necessary space of the homebuyers. A Facebook event has been created with the details of the dedication, how to watch, as well as how to participate in the drive by parade of cars. To watch the Facebook Live dedication, viewers can like and follow Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity on Facebook. ### Comments are closed.
