Habitat Crew to Talk Volunteer Opportunities on World Habitat Day

Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity and the ReStore is inviting people to celebrate World Habitat Day with members of the Habitat Crew on Monday, October 1 from 9-10 a.m. at Festival Foods, 2430 University Ave, Green Bay. This is a great chance to learn about all the opportunities to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and the ReStore.

Habitat Crew is a social group of men and women who regularly volunteer and invest their time with Habitat for Humanity and the ReStore. Members vary from master carpenters to those who have never picked up a hammer; a serving heart is all that’s required.
 
World Habitat Day is always the first Monday in October when Habitat for Humanity joins with our partners around the world to rededicate ourselves to recognizing the basic right of everyone to adequate shelter. We believe that every one of us deserve the opportunity for a better future, and a decent place to live can remove barriers to opportunity, health, and success that might have been part of a family’s life for years.
