Volunteers State Faith Build in Green Bay through Habitat and Thrivent Partnership

​Thrivent members and other volunteers have begun work on a home in the Green Bay as part of the Faith Build, a Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent partnership. Together with Thrivent members, faith-based organizations, and other volunteer support, they help families achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable housing.
 
The Hernandez family will be purchasing the home at 1146 S. Greenwood Avenue. Single mother Karleen has three children, Nayleen, who has autism, and twins, Angel and Minelys. She moved to the US from Puerto Rico 10 years ago and moved to Green Bay to be closer to family.
 
The home at 1146 S. Greenwood Avenue will be a four bedroom, two bathroom home. It will be one story and 1,458 square feet. This project is Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity’s 117th home.
 
Over 80 Faith Build projects will take place across the US in 2019. Green Bay’s Faith Build is one of only two in the state of Wisconsin.  Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent have been in a national partnership since 2005.
