Introducing Habitat Homestead: A New Chapter in Affordable Homeownership
Habitat Homestead marks a historic milestone as Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity’s first large-scale, multi-home build development. Located on Green Bay’s east side, this $4 million project is the largest site development in our organization’s history, bringing 13 new homes to life for local individuals and families striving for an opportunity to make their dream of buying a home a reality.

Designed to address the region’s critical affordable housing shortage, Habitat Homestead will feature seven single-family homes and two three-unit townhomes. Once complete, the neighborhood will provide decent, affordable housing for 13 new Habitat homeowners, helping families like Sheena’s—who transformed her life through hard work and partnership—find strength, stability, and self-reliance in a place to call home.

After experiencing homelessness, and excelling in local short-term housing solutions, Sheena partnered with Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity, investing countless hours of hard work and perseverance to achieve her dream of homeownership. Her journey from instability to a safe, affordable home is a testament to the strength and self-reliance that Habitat’s program fosters.

Serving the community since 1987, Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity builds decent, affordable homes in the community and sells them to qualified individuals and families in its Homeownership Program with an affordable, 0% interest mortgage at no profit. Every Habitat home gives homeowners strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.
