Volunteer
Every year, we rely on hundreds of volunteers and thousands of volunteer hours to keep our mission moving forward.
When you volunteer on the build site, you are a part of stabilizing housing for local families in Brown County, Wisconsin. At Habitat for Humanity, we give families a hand-up not a handout - so our Habitat Partner Families work hard to make their dreams come true to purchase their Habitat home. Build site volunteers help in a variety of ways: from general construction, bringing food, painting, and more! You can find a volunteer opportunity that is right for you.

Why Volunteering Matters
The impact that our Habitat volunteers make is greater than the homes we build together. When we're building homes for families who work hard, need, and deserve safe, decent, affordable housing, we're building a community of self-reliance, accountability and stability. Our volunteers build homes that are in-turn sold to our qualified Habitat Partner Families at a 0%, interest-free, mortgage. We partner with local suppliers and businesses to keep as much homebuilding cost in our area, and Habitat Partner Families contribute to the local economy and tax-base. Changing lives one family at a time allows us to build a better community and make a meaningful impact that lasts a lifetime, and it's thanks to our volunteers who help us accomplish that goal by laying a foundation of success for our families!
In 2021/22, our build site re-opened to volunteers, community groups and corporate groups. With the aid of over 300 volunteers and over 7,500 hours on the build site, Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity successfully build another four homes. Those four homes served four families, including six adults and twelve children. Since our establishment in 1987, our volunteers have built 128 homes and counting! That means, we have helped 128 families find stability and self-reliance through safe, decent, affordable shelter.
