Women Build brings people together to create safe, affordable housing. This program is open to individuals, families, businesses, and community groups who want to make a difference for a women-led household in the community.
Volunteers receive on-site training and contribute in ways that match their comfort level. Some people build, others prepare meals, organize supplies, or support the project through fundraising. Every role helps move the home build forward. |

There is a critical need to support women-led households in Brown County facing a lack of access to affordable homebuying opportunities, and in some cases, inadequate housing conditions. Women Build is a way to make a tangible difference in our neighborhoods.
Volunteering on a build site offers a fantastic opportunity to engage coworkers, friends, and family while leaving a lasting impact on the community. Come solo and make new connections or sign up as a group to maximize your impact! Prior experience on a build site is not necessary. Our skilled volunteers and construction managers will teach you how to use tools and follow safety protocol.

Are men allowed to join?
Yes, men are welcome and encouraged to engage. While Women Build prioritizes the involvement of women in home construction efforts, it warmly welcomes volunteers of all gender identities, fostering an environment free from discrimination. |
Do I need experience?
Absolutely no prior building experience is required. You will receive expert guidance as you work side by side with fellow volunteers, staff, and future Habitat homeowners. This experience is all about making a tangible difference in our community while learning new skills! |
Can our group volunteer?
Yes! Group volunteering on a Women Build or other build site is a great way to work together toward a common goal. If you have a group of like-minded people that want to get hands-on and give back, you can visit greenbayhabitat.org/groups to learn how to sign up! |
