Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity will hold a home dedication for the Habane/Egeh family on Thursday, May 16 at 5 p.m. at the home, located at 1743 Chicago Court. Dedications are open to the public and include a short program featuring speakers, a key presentation, and a reflection from the new homeowners. After the program, guests are invited to enjoy refreshments and tour the home.
With a household of 11 and a father with medical needs, it was hard for the Habane/Egeh family to find accessible, suitable, and affordable housing. The family couldn’t be more excited to move into a home that is large enough for their family. This is the first time Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity has built a six-bedroom home.
“We look forward to living in our first house,” said the Habane/Egehs. “Thank you all for helping us!”
This is the 113th home Habitat has built and sold to a qualified homebuyer in Brown County. Homeowners have a zero-interest and affordable mortgage that is made possible through generous donations of money, materials, and volunteer labor.
A special thank you to the sponsors on this home including: Wisconsin Public Service (WPS), The George Kress Foundation, J.J. Keller Foundation, Inc., and Kathy Russell.
Join us and witness the positive impact of Habitat for Humanity homeownership in our community.
