Habitat to dedicate 114th home on June 6
Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity will hold a home dedication for the Yanez/Saldana family on Thursday, June 6 at 5 p.m. at the home, located at 1030 Stuart Street. Dedications are open to the public and include a short program featuring speakers, a key presentation, and a reflection from the new homeowners. After the program, guests are invited to enjoy refreshments and tour the home.
Brittany, Omar, and their two children currently live in an old and unsafe home. Between poor insulation, springtime flooding, animals in the attic, and a musty smell that seeps into everything, Brittany is ready to provide something better for her family.
“I believe my little family deserves a safe home that I can afford on my own,” said Brittany.
This is the 114th home Habitat has built and sold to a qualified homebuyer in Brown County. Homeowners have a zero-interest and affordable mortgage that is made possible through generous donations of money, materials, and volunteer labor.
A special thank you to the sponsors on this home including: Schneider, K.C. Stock Foundation, and Esther Huiting.
