“We are deeply saddened that we cannot hold our fundraiser and we made sure to follow the necessary precautions to make the event COVID-safe,” said Cora Haltaufderheid, Executive Director. “However, we feel that we have a responsibility to keep staff, volunteers, participants of the event, along with the staff of The Turn safe. We all need to do our part and listen to the public health officials’ warnings. This is truly the time to come together to help stop the spread of this virus. And please know that this is not the end of the event, it’s just a pause until we can make sure that it's safe to come together.”
The mission of Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is to build homes in our community for families that need safe, decent, and affordable housing. To do that, they seek the help of the community through volunteerism, prayers, and donations. Postponing the event until further notice will allow the organization to continue fundraising efforts virtually, and later host the event at The Turn to raise funds to go into its Homeownership Program to continue its mission. The organization sends its prayers to those who have COVID-19, their families, and for an eventual end to the pandemic. Details regarding the event and its new date will be posted on the organizations social media pages, and website at www.greenbayhabitat.org. ### Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities, and hope.
